Afro Kinky Hair Secrets Explained



I don't know if people understand why hair is this type of big deal for those who have naturally kinky hair. For me it's largely that I've just now begun to be comfortable accepting, wearing and managing my kinky hair. As ridiculous as it might sound, I thought it was too difficult to wear my natural hair and that is not true.

From childhood a mother who has more than one girls with kinky hair has a job on her hands. I was fortunate. My mother could comb hair. Pictures of me as a youngster are presentable. I have two sisters. My mom did natural hair for all of us until I was about 12. Mom took at the least two hours per child from beginning to get rid of if she washed, conditioned and styled our hair. I remember wearing lots of ponytails, press and curls and afros. The style I hated probably the most was the pony tail at the top of our head with the braid sticking straight up. Which was a trendy style back then. Who said this is cute?

My mom then allowed us to get a relaxer. It's what lots of the ladies were wearing at the time. We thought a relaxer will make our hair easier to manage and it did. We got relaxers right during the time that we started managing our hair ourselves. It worked okay. Yet it was not until I was an adult, with no relaxer, that I seen that I didn't know plenty of hairstyles for my Click here! besides cornrows and press and curls. The desire for style variety for my kinky hair is what inspired my look for simplistic, professional natural hair styles.

The journey was interesting. Kinky hair features a texture all a unique and such things as scarves, hairpins, banana clips, water and conditioner become critical. For example, kinky hair actually needs water and moisture. I now wet my hair virtually every day. Yet, I spent years avoiding water because I didn't wish to mess up my hair. Additionally, I had to experiment. Some days weren't good hair days. I tried a lot of styles until I discovered some that made sense for me.
